The program uses the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy as the established learning taxonomy to determine the appropriate level of learning achievement expected of students.

The formulation, review, and improvement of the Program Learning Outcomes follow the Plan-Do-Check-Improve approach.

1. Formulation of Program Learning Outcomes

Plan

The BBA Program begins formulating its Program Learning Outcomes through a structured planning process. The process involves key internal and external stakeholders identified in TQF 2, including university administrators, faculty members, academic and non-academic staff, students, alumni, employers, internship supervisors, and industry representatives.

The university vision and mission, the Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, national higher education requirements, and the needs of the business sector serve as major references in formulating the Program Learning Outcomes.

Do

The program conducts meetings, consultations, and discussions with relevant stakeholders to develop the initial set of Program Learning Outcomes. In formulating the outcomes, the program uses Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy as a guide in selecting appropriate action verbs and determining the level of learning achievement expected from students.

The learning outcomes are designed to cover the five learning domains prescribed by the Thai Qualifications Framework:

Moral and Ethics

Knowledge

Cognitive Skills

Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility

Numerical Analysis, Communication and Information Technology Skills

The Program Learning Outcomes are then distributed into courses through curriculum mapping. They are translated into Course Learning Outcomes to ensure alignment among program outcomes, course outcomes, teaching and learning activities, and assessment methods.

Check

The curriculum committee reviews the drafted Program Learning Outcomes to ensure that they are clearly stated, measurable, attainable, relevant, and aligned with institutional, national, and professional requirements. The review also checks whether the outcomes are consistent with the university’s vision and mission and whether the expected levels of learning are appropriate based on Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy.

The review process considers feedback from stakeholders, curriculum requirements, employer expectations, internship feedback, and academic standards.

Improve

Based on the review findings and stakeholder feedback, the Program Learning Outcomes are refined and finalized. The program regularly reviews and updates the curriculum to ensure that the outcomes remain relevant to changes in the business environment, labor market trends, industry expectations, and national higher education policies.

The current BBA curriculum, TQF 2, was approved by the Office of Higher Education Commission in 2020 and has been implemented for the 2020 and 2021 cohorts. The curriculum is reviewed every five years to ensure continuing relevance and quality.

2. Each course in the curriculum has its own set of Course Learning Outcomes, which describe the specific knowledge, skills, values, and competencies that students are expected to demonstrate after completing the course.

The Course Learning Outcomes are formulated to be clear, measurable, and aligned with the Program Learning Outcomes. The program applies the principle of constructive alignment by ensuring that the Course Learning Outcomes are connected to teaching and learning activities, assessment methods, and the overall Program Learning Outcomes.

Curriculum mapping is the primary mechanism for ensuring alignment between Course Learning Outcomes and Program Learning Outcomes. For example, the Strategic Management course contributes to the development of ethical behavior, research knowledge, problem-solving skills, self-development, and quantitative decision-making. These are aligned with ME2, K3, CS1, ISR1, and NIL1.

Similarly, the Research course supports the development of discipline, research application, problem analysis, leadership, communication skills, and information technology skills. These outcomes are aligned with ME4, K2, CS1, ISR4, NIL2, and NIL3.

This demonstrates that the Course Learning Outcomes are not developed independently, but are derived from and connected to the Program Learning Outcomes. The curriculum mapping allows the program to monitor whether the courses collectively support the achievement of the expected graduate competencies.

Evidence

ID_Evidence

Name_Evidence

1.2.1

Sample TQF 3 and TQF 5

1.2.2

TQF 2

1.3 The programme to show that the expected learning outcomes consist of both generic outcomes (related to written and oral communication, problem solving, information technology, teambuilding skills, etc) and subject specific outcomes (related to knowledge and skills of the study discipline).

Operational Result

Performance

The Bachelor of Business Administration Program ensures that its expected learning outcomes include both generic and subject-specific outcomes. The generic outcomes refer to transferable knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that graduates can apply across different professional and social contexts. These include written and oral communication, problem-solving, ethical reasoning, information technology, teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and lifelong learning.

The subject-specific outcomes refer to knowledge and skills directly related to the field of Business Administration and its three areas of specialization: International Business, Logistics Management, and Tourism and Hotel Management. These include business theories and practices, strategic management, business research, logistics operations, international business practices, tourism and hotel management, quantitative business analysis, and the use of business-related tools and techniques.

The Program Learning Outcomes of the BBA Program were formulated based on the program objectives, the university vision and mission, stakeholder needs, industry requirements, and the Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education. These outcomes are stated in the TQF 2 and are further translated into Course Learning Outcomes through curriculum mapping. The curriculum mapping ensures that generic and subject-specific outcomes are embedded in the courses and are developed progressively throughout the program.

The BBA Program Learning Outcomes are grouped into five learning domains:

Moral and Ethics

Knowledge

Cognitive Skills

Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility

Numerical Analysis, Communication and Information Technology Skills

These domains demonstrate that the program develops both broad transferable competencies and specialized business competencies.

Generic and Subject-Specific Learning Outcomes of the BBA Program

LO group

Generic

Subject specific

Moral and Ethics

Ethical reasoning, integrity, honesty, self-discipline, punctuality, social responsibility, respect for rules and regulations

Professional ethics in business, ethical decision making in business operations, academic integrity in business research and reporting

Knowledge

General knowledge, lifelong learning, ability to integrate knowledge from different fields, awareness of social, economic, cultural, and technological changes

Business theories and practices, international business knowledge, logistics management knowledge, tourism and hotel management knowledge, strategic management, business research, marketing, finance, management, and operations

Cognitive Skills

Critical thinking, analytical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, decision-making

Business problem analysis, strategic analysis, application of business concepts, analysis of industry issues, development of business solutions, application of research findings

Interpersonal Skills
and Responsibility

Teamwork, leadership, communication, responsibility, adaptability, collaboration, human relations

Leadership in business projects, teamwork in case analysis, professional behavior during internship, coordination with business stakeholders, service-mindedness in tourism and hotel contexts

Numerical, Communication and Information Literacy

Written and oral communication, information literacy, digital literacy, quantitative reasoning, presentation skills, responsible use of technology

Business data analysis, use of business software, preparation of reports and presentations, use of tools such as MS Excel, SPSS, Zotero, strategic matrices, infographics, and other business-related digital tools

Formulation and Monitoring of Generic and Subject-Specific Outcomes

The formulation of generic and subject-specific learning outcomes is reflected in the TQF 2 curriculum document and the TQF 3 course specifications. The Program Learning Outcomes serve as the basis for developing Course Learning Outcomes. Each lecturer prepares the TQF 3 for the assigned course, specifying the learning outcomes for students, the teaching and learning activities, and the assessment methods.

The Department Head and the responsible course checker monitor the preparation and implementation of TQF 3 to ensure that the Course Learning Outcomes align with the Program Learning Outcomes, course descriptions, learning activities, and assessment methods. This process ensures that both generic and subject-specific outcomes are properly integrated, practiced, observed, and assessed in each course.

Through curriculum mapping, the program verifies that each course contributes to the development of both generic and subject-specific competencies. The generic outcomes prepare students to become responsible, ethical, communicative, technologically competent, and collaborative graduates. The subject-specific outcomes prepare students with the required knowledge and skills in business administration and their chosen specialization.

Examples of Generic and Subject-Specific Outcomes in Selected Courses

The following examples show how selected courses integrate both generic and subject-specific learning outcomes.

Course Code

Course

Course Learning Outcomes

Generic Skills

Subject-Specific Skills

214409

Strategic Management

Demonstrate understanding and practical application of ethical standards in learning, uphold academic integrity, acknowledge others’ ideas properly, and present findings truthfully.

Ethical reasoning, integrity

Professional ethics in business research and reporting

214409

Strategic Management

Use various sources of information to advance understanding and solve business case problems by applying appropriate business strategies.

Critical thinking, information literacy

Strategic management, business case analysis

214409

Strategic Management

Analyze strategic management case materials and apply learning in solving business cases and experiential strategic management activities.

Problem-solving, analytical thinking

Strategic analysis, business decision-making

214409

Strategic Management

Use updated information from electronic sources and recent references to develop a group term paper on strategic planning.

Communication, self-directed learning, teamwork

Strategic planning, business research

214409

Strategic Management

Apply quantitative strategic management tools such as SPACE, BCG, TOWS, IE, and Grand Strategy matrices to position a business unit and identify appropriate strategies.

Quantitative analysis, decision-making

Strategic analysis, business portfolio analysis

214497

Research in International Business / Tourism and Hotel / Logistics Management

Demonstrate disciplined behavior consistent with social standards and uphold academic integrity inside and outside the classroom.

Self-discipline, professionalism, integrity

Professional conduct in business research

214497

Research in International Business / Tourism and Hotel / Logistics Management

Apply research knowledge with concern for social development and conduct research using business and marketing concepts through a multidisciplinary approach.

Social responsibility, critical thinking

Business research, marketing research, specialization-based research

214497

Research in International Business / Tourism and Hotel / Logistics Management

Analyze the causes of problems or conflicts in order to prevent or resolve issues appropriately.

Problem-solving, analytical thinking

Business problem analysis

214497

Research in International Business / Tourism and Hotel / Logistics Management

Demonstrate leadership by assigning tasks to group members and facilitating the resolution of problems encountered in completing group outputs.

Leadership, teamwork, collaboration

Project management, research team management

214497

Research in International Business / Tourism and Hotel / Logistics Management

Communicate effectively in carrying out professional activities in diverse environments, particularly in relation to globalization, technology, and the changing nature of work.

Oral and written communication, cross-cultural communication

Professional communication in international business, logistics, tourism, and hotel contexts

214497

Research in International Business / Tourism and Hotel / Logistics Management

Use information technology in research operations and apply software tools to support research, data analysis, and operations management.

Information literacy, digital literacy

Use of MS Excel, Zotero, SPSS, and other research-related tools

Analysis of Alignment

The examples above show that the BBA Program Learning Outcomes include both generic and subject-specific outcomes. For instance, in Strategic Management, students develop generic skills such as ethical reasoning, critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis. At the same time, they develop subject-specific skills such as strategic planning, strategic analysis, business case analysis, and the use of strategic management matrices.

Similarly, in Research in International Business, Tourism and Hotel, and Logistics Management, students develop generic skills such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and information literacy. At the same time, they develop subject-specific skills in business research, marketing research, data analysis, and specialization-based research.

This demonstrates that the program does not focus only on business knowledge but also prepares students with transferable skills needed for employment, further study, professional development, and responsible participation in society.

Evidence

ID_Evidence

Name_Evidence

1.3.1

Capstone

1.3.2

Students’ Research Presentation

1.3.3

Business Planning and Investment Output

1.3.4

Food and Beverage Output

1.3.5

Research Symposium

1.3.6

Students’ Creative Outputs

1.4 The programme to show that the requirements of the stakeholders, especially the external stakeholders, are gathered, and that these are reflected in the expected learning outcomes.

Operational Result

Performance

The Bachelor of Business Administration Program ensures that the requirements and feedback of stakeholders, especially external stakeholders, are systematically gathered, analyzed, and incorporated into the program’s expected learning outcomes.

The program gathers stakeholder input from both internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders include students, lecturers, program administrators, and academic staff. External stakeholders include employers, internship providers, alums, industry representatives, parents, and relevant government or professional bodies. Their feedback is used as an important basis for reviewing the Program Learning Outcomes, Course Learning Outcomes, course content, teaching and learning activities, assessment methods, and student development activities.

Stakeholder requirements are gathered through several mechanisms, including employer satisfaction surveys, internship provider feedback, alum feedback, student feedback, curriculum review meetings, internship visits, and consultation with industry representatives. These inputs help the program determine whether the current learning outcomes remain relevant to industry expectations and graduate employability requirements.

Stakeholder Feedback and Employer Satisfaction Results

The program conducts employer satisfaction surveys to assess students’ and graduates’ performance against expected learning outcomes. The survey results cover three major areas:

The five learning outcome domains: Moral and Ethics, Knowledge, Cognitive Skills, Interpersonal Skills, and Numerical Analysis, Communication and Information Technology Skills.

The three learner outcomes based on ONESQA: Learner Person, Co-creator, and Active Global Citizen.

Basic English skills and 21st-century learning skills.

The results show that employers are generally satisfied with the performance of BBA students and graduates. They also confirm that students demonstrate competence in ethical behavior, knowledge, cognitive skills, interpersonal skills, information technology skills, English communication, and 21st-century skills.

Internship Provider Feedback

The program also gathers feedback from internship providers. This feedback is important because internship providers directly observe students’ performance in real workplace settings. Their comments and recommendations are used to identify strengths and areas for improvement in student preparation, course content, and expected learning outcomes.

A common feedback from internship providers and employers is the need to further improve students’ English proficiency, self-confidence, and workplace readiness. These requirements are directly related to the program’s expected learning outcomes, particularly in communication, interpersonal, professional responsibility, and 21st-century competencies.

In response to this feedback, the program has implemented the following actions:

Stakeholder Feedback / Requirement

Program Response

Related Learning Outcomes

Students need stronger English communication skills.

TOEIC practice sessions were scheduled in coordination with the Office of Registration.

Communication skills, English proficiency, professional communication

Students need greater confidence in workplace communication.

Seminars were organized for Year 4 students to prepare them for employment and internship.

Interpersonal skills, responsibility, professional readiness

Students need better preparation for job applications.

Mock job interviews and resume writing workshops were conducted.

Communication skills, self-development, employability skills

Students need stronger workplace readiness.

Career preparation activities and workplace-related seminars were conducted.

Professional ethics, teamwork, leadership, and 21st-century skills

These improvement actions show that feedback from external stakeholders is not only collected but also used to enhance the implementation of the expected learning outcomes.

Reflection of Stakeholder Requirements in Expected Learning Outcomes

The feedback gathered from stakeholders is reflected in the expected learning outcomes of the BBA Program. Employer and internship provider feedback confirms the importance of both generic and subject-specific competencies.

For example, the need for stronger English proficiency and workplace communication is reflected in learning outcomes in communication proficiency, interpersonal skills, and information literacy. The need for self-confidence and workplace readiness is reflected in the outcomes related to leadership, teamwork, responsibility, professional ethics, and self-development. The need for technical and analytical capabilities is reflected in outcomes across knowledge, cognitive skills, numerical analysis, and information technology.

Stakeholder Requirement

Reflected in Program Learning Outcomes

Ethical and professional behavior

Moral and Ethics

Business knowledge and professional competence

Knowledge

Ability to solve workplace problems

Cognitive Skills

Teamwork, leadership, confidence, and responsibility

Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility

English communication, IT skills, and 21st-century skills

Numerical Analysis, Communication and Information Technology Skills

Industry readiness and employability

Knowledge, Cognitive Skills, Interpersonal Skills, and Communication Skills

This demonstrates that the stakeholder requirements are embedded in the Program Learning Outcomes and further implemented through Course Learning Outcomes, teaching and learning activities, assessment methods, internship preparation, and student development activities.

Curriculum Review and Updating

To ensure the curriculum remains responsive to industry requirements, government policy, and stakeholder expectations, the BBA Program undergoes a comprehensive review every 5 years. Stakeholders are invited to participate in the review process and provide recommendations on course content, course descriptions, learning outcomes, teaching and learning strategies, and assessment methods.

The current TQF 2 of the BBA Program was approved by the government in 2020 and is scheduled for review and updating in 2025. Feedback from employers, internship providers, alums, students, and other stakeholders will be considered in the curriculum review process to ensure the expected learning outcomes continue to meet academic standards and industry needs.

The feedback from employers and internship providers showed that students generally achieved the expected learning outcomes, with overall average scores of 4.13 for the five learning outcome domains, 4.15 for ONESQA learner outcomes, and 4.18 for English and 21st-century skills. These results indicate a Very Good level of satisfaction.

However, external stakeholders also identified areas for improvement, particularly students’ English proficiency, self-confidence, and workplace readiness. In response, the program coordinated TOEIC practice sessions, organized seminars for Year 4 students, and conducted mock job interviews and resume writing workshops. These actions directly support the learning outcomes in communication, interpersonal, professional responsibility, self-development, and employability.

The feedback and improvement actions are incorporated into the regular curriculum review process and used to refine course content, teaching strategies, assessment methods, CLOs, and PLOs.

Evidence

ID_Evidence

Name_Evidence

1.4.1

BBA Performance

1.4.2

Internship Visit

1.4.3

Students’ Comments on the Achievement of the Learning Outcomes

1.5 The programme to show that the expected learning outcomes are achieved by the students by the time they graduate

Operational Result

Performance:

The Bachelor of Business Administration Program ensures that students achieve the expected learning outcomes by the time they graduate through systematic academic monitoring, course assessment, internship evaluation, post-internship verification, and graduation screening.

Students are monitored and evaluated every semester to ensure that they complete the required courses and credits as stipulated in the TQF 2 curriculum. Their Grade Point Average is also reviewed regularly. To qualify for an internship and graduation, students must obtain a minimum GPA of 2.00, have no failing grades, and complete the required number of credits. Students who obtain a failing grade or a GPA below the required level are advised to retake the course at the appropriate time.

Before students are allowed to proceed to an internship, they undergo academic and program evaluation. This includes checking completed courses, credits, GPA, pre-cooperative education requirements, seminar participation, research completion, presentation requirements, and other academic obligations. This process ensures that students have achieved the required academic competencies before applying their knowledge and skills in the workplace.

Internship as Evidence of Learning Outcome Achievement

The internship is an important mechanism used by the BBA Program to verify whether students can demonstrate the expected learning outcomes in real-world workplace settings. During the internship period, the Head of Program or internship coordinator conducts internship visitations to monitor student performance and gather feedback from internship providers. If any issues regarding student performance are identified, the program takes appropriate action.

After completing the internship, students are required to submit weekly reports and present their internship learning experiences to the Faculty of Business Administration. Each report must be verified and signed by the designated workplace supervisor. In addition, the program uses an internship evaluation tool completed by the workplace supervisor or the organization’s head. The evaluation document is submitted confidentially to the Head of Department or internship coordinator in a sealed envelope.

The Head of Department also conducts a post-internship interview to verify the students’ internship experience, supervisor feedback, internship presentation, and evaluation results. This process confirms whether students have achieved the expected learning outcomes before graduation.

Post-Internship Seminar and Graduate Readiness

The Faculty of Business Administration conducts a post-internship seminar to allow students to reflect on their internship experience and improve their professional and soft skills. The seminar helps students identify strengths, bridge skill gaps, and prepare for future career opportunities.

Industry partners, alums, and other stakeholders are invited to participate in the post-internship seminar. This provides graduating students with opportunities to interact with professionals, receive feedback, expand their networks, and strengthen their readiness for employment.

Assessment Results of Student Achievement of Learning Outcomes

The internship evaluation results indicate that students successfully demonstrated the Program Learning Outcomes.
