TERESA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (TRSU)) in 2023. The objective is to create opportunities for students to develop themselves and enter the teaching profession, emphasizing “Academic Excellence, English Language, and Teaching”. We believe that English language skills can create added value and opportunities for success in the lives of teachers in the era of a borderless technological society.

With a quality-focused graduate production process, we set a ratio of 1 teacher to a few students for close supervision and promotion of quality. The teaching process focuses on developing learners in terms of morality, ethics, knowledge and skills in the field of study, intellectual skills in problem-solving and coping, interpersonal skills or teamwork, basic communication skills in both Thai and English, ICT skills, and important professional skills such as learning design, measurement and evaluation, the use of various teaching techniques, classroom research, classroom management, student care and guidance, etc. The faculty emphasizes the production of graduates under the competency-based curriculum and provides experiences emphasizing work-integrated learning (WIL).

In 2019-present, the Faculty of Education offers 8 programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels: 1) International Program (taught in English) with 3 majors at the undergraduate level: English Language Teaching, Mathematics Teaching, and Science Teaching; and 4 graduate programs: 4 international programs: (1) Graduate Diploma in Teaching (English); (2) Master of Education (Educational Administration); (3) Master of Education in Learning Management Science; and (4) Doctor of Philosophy (Educational Administration); and 1 Thai program: Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Thai Section).

In the bachelor’s degree program, the 2017 batch is a 5-year teacher training program. They must complete full-time teaching in an educational institution for 1 academic year. Upon completion, they are automatically eligible to receive a teacher’s licence from the Teachers Council. As for the batch that entered in the 2019 academic year onwards, they will study according to the 2019 new teacher training program, a 4-year program with distributed teaching experience from the 3rd to the 4th year, for a total of 4 semesters, for not less than 30 weeks or 1 academic year. In addition, graduates of the 4-year program who entered in the 2019 academic year onwards and graduated in the 2022 academic year onwards must pass the examination and evaluation to apply for a teacher’s licence.

Graduate Diploma in Teaching Profession for those who have completed a bachelor’s degree in other fields and wish to become a teacher between 2018-2024. There are 2 courses of study: the Thai language program and the English language program. Students who enrol from 2019 must pass the examination and assessment to apply for a teacher’s licence.

There are 2 Master’s degree programs in the academic year 2020-2024: Master of Education in Educational Administration and Master of Education in Learning Management Science (starting in the academic year 2020). The latter is a two-year program taught in English, but Thais who study it can write their theses in Thai.

The university has been accredited and offers a doctoral degree program, the Doctor of Philosophy, commencing in the academic year 2022. It is a 3-year program, with completion expected within 5 semesters.

In addition to producing graduates, the Faculty of Education has a mission to study, research, and investigate to create knowledge in education management and academic services to society to develop local education, regions, and national society, including giving importance to teaching, research, and the continuation of Thai traditions, arts, and culture.

1.2 Current Curriculum

The new curriculum 2020 starts in the first Semester of the academic year 2020 with only 1 program, Plan 2.1(1); then it was revised during the semester by adding Plan 2.1(2) for those who need the Teaching Licence, which was approved by the Teacher Council of Thailand

At the start of the academic year 2020, the faculty determined the PLO’s of the first version of the curriculum composed of 6 dimensions: (1) Morals & Ethics, (2) Knowledge, (3) Intellectual Skills, (4) Interpersonal Skills, (5) Communication, Numerical, and Technological Skills, and (6) Learning and Classroom Management Skills.

The Revised Curriculum, 2025, was developed in 2024.
