1.1 History of the Program

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) International Program of the Faculty of Business Administration at St Teresa International University (STIC) was established in 2001 to demonstrate the Faculty’s educational commitment to Thailand, the Asia-Pacific region, and the global community. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program is divided into four years with a total of 126 credits.

The BBA International Program produces graduates in three fields of study:

  1. International Business
  2. Logistics Management
  3. Tourism and Hotel

The tourism, hotel, logistics, and international business industries are aware of the digital-age changes influencing the nation’s competitiveness. The graduates must possess core competencies in knowledge, abilities, and academic excellence, including a positive attitude, a service mind, and the provision of high-value services through Thainess. Global trade is growing at an unprecedented speed and is affecting all businesses, even those focused on the domestic market.

Our Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) curriculum provides students with a comprehensive understanding of business concepts, theories, and models. The program focuses on their application to real-world problems in the tourism, hotel, logistics, and international business industries through tangible interaction and learning. The international business curriculum will help students zero in on the steps to success and equip them with the skills to capitalize on emerging opportunities. Students will also learn the necessary background on global trade and the strategies multinational corporations use to address cross-border political, legal, economic, social, and financial issues.

The curriculum also provides students with knowledge of International Business, export-import, logistics and supply chain management, quantitative analysis for logistics management, transportation and distribution, demand and inventory planning, procurement management, multimodal transportation, shipping business, training in logistics, warehouse management, legal aspects of logistics, and a seminar in logistics and International trade management.

Classes are taught by qualified faculty with an international curriculum. Students also participate in internships, company visits and excursions, forums and symposia, guest speaker presentations and webinars, e-conferences, and much more. Through this approach, students learn to connect business concepts to the broader global society, preparing them for a clear career path in the tourism industry, logistics sector, and other businesses in Thailand and international markets.

After graduating from this program, Tourism and Hotel students will be able to work in a variety of professions. For example, Hotel and Spa businesses, MICE (such as meeting organizers and incentive travel management), restaurants, quick-service restaurants, inbound and outbound tour operators, travel agents, cruise line operations and management, tour guides, Travel entrepreneurs, Travel consultants, business owners, and much more. Logistics management professionals manage, coordinate, and transport products from raw materials to finished goods. Those with a bachelor’s degree in the field are primed to step into nearly any industry. Demand for logistics professionals is growing rapidly as firms realize the benefits of increased profitability through improved efficiency. Employment growth will be driven by the critical role logistics and supply chain management play in the transportation of goods in a global economy. After graduating from this program, Logistics management students can work as Business development professionals, Demand and inventory planners, Operations Professionals, sourcing and buying professionals, Procurement specialists, transportation, storage, and distribution professionals, Supply and logistics coordinators, and much more.
