บริบท และโครงร่างองค์กร
บริบท
1. ประวัติคณะ
คณะบริหารธุรกิจ มหาวิทยาลัยนานาชาติเซนต์เทเรซา จัดตั้งขึ้นพร้อมกับการก่อตั้งสถาบัน โดยมุ่งเน้นการจัดการศึกษาระดับอุดมศึกษาหลักสูตรนานาชาติที่มีคุณภาพในระดับสากล (World-class Programs) เพื่อตอบสนองต่อความต้องการบุคลากรและมืออาชีพในยุคโลกาภิวัตน์
ตลอดระยะเวลาการดำเนินงาน คณะบริหารธุรกิจได้พัฒนาและปรับปรุงสถาปัตยกรรมหลักสูตรอย่างยั่งยืน โดยมุ่งสร้างบัณฑิตที่มีความมั่นใจในสายอาชีพ ผสมผสานองค์ความรู้ทางทฤษฎีควบคู่ไปกับประสบการณ์จากโลกแห่งความเป็นจริง (Real-world Experiences) และใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นสื่อกลางหลักในการเรียนการสอนและการใช้ชีวิตในแคมปัส นอกจากนี้ คณะฯ ยังได้สร้างความร่วมมืออันแข็งแกร่งกับองค์กรธุรกิจและอุตสาหกรรมชั้นนำระดับประเทศและระดับสากล เช่น แผนกขนส่งสินค้า บริษัท การบินไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) และบริษัท ท่าอากาศยานไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (AOT) รวมถึงการเป็นพันธมิตรกับมหาวิทยาลัยในต่างประเทศเพื่อร่วมพัฒนาแนวทางการสอนให้ทันสมัย
ปัจจุบัน คณะบริหารธุรกิจเปิดสอนหลักสูตรนานาชาติที่ครอบคลุมทั้งในระดับปริญญาตรี (ได้แก่ หลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจบัณฑิต, สาขาวิชาธุรกิจการบิน, หลักสูตรบัญชีบัณฑิต, สาขาวิชาการควบคุมการจราจรทางอากาศ และสาขาวิชาการบิน) และระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา (หลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจมหาบัณฑิต: M.B.A.) โดยผลิตบัณฑิตที่มีสมรรถนะหลัก (Core Competencies) มีทักษะภาษาอังกฤษที่เป็นเลิศ และพร้อมขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจทั้งในระดับประเทศและระดับนานาชาติอย่างมืออาชีพ

โครงร่างองค์กร (Organizational Profile)
a1 Educational program and service offerings The Faculty of Business offers 5 undergraduate programs and a postgraduate program as follows.
- Bachelor of Business Administration degree program (BBA)
The program has 3 majors, namely Tourism and Hotel, International business and Logistics. - Bachelor of Business Administration in Airline business degree program (BBAB)
- Bachelor of Science in Air Traffic Control degree program (BATC)
- Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics degree program (BSAR)
- Bachelor of Accountancy degree program (BACC)
- Master of Business Administration degree program (MBA)
Program 1, 2, 3 are relatively important to the success of the Faculty of Business due to the number of students enrolled in each program and the prospects. The BBA and BBAB programs are regarded as the identity of the Faculty of Business while the BATC program provides the students technical training using simulations and hence adds specialty and professional appeals to the program and the others.
The methods used to deliver the programs are direct where the students are taught by the faculty members in classrooms at the campus. There are theoretical, practical and hands-on courses in which the students are taught to understand and apply theoretical concepts to solve practical problems or case study that the instructors choose. An indirect method is also used by means of a supervised practicum in workplaces including ground and passenger services to airlines’ passengers at Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang airport.

Core competencies
i. The foreign faculty and academic staff members have a good command of English for teaching and learning and research publications. They are able to teach a variety of courses including business and management core courses, department and general education courses. They can effectively handle teaching loads, student development activities as well as other academic work including writing research and self assessment reports for program quality assurance and program accreditation.
ii. The program coordinators and visiting instructors of the BBA and BBAB programs are former executives or senior staff of Thai Airways International company. They are highly respected and trusted by the students as they have industrial connections that help find practicum providers or workplaces for the senior students. In the last semester, the students do a practicum training or so-called cooperative education course in which the students work for 3 months or an entire 16-week semester as staff trainees in airline, flight or ground service companies.
a3 Workforce profile
There are 35 faculty members affiliated to 6 programs and 6 adjunct faculty members. Among 41 faculty members, 16 faculty members are foreigners from Philippines (4), India (8), and Bangladesh (4) whereas 25 faculty members are Thai nationals.
11 faculty members hold doctoral degrees while the remaining 30 faculty members hold Master’s degrees.
Key drivers for the faculty engagement are feeling valued by the organization, opportunities and financial support to do research for publication and for academic ranking application, promotion or award.
a4 Asset
The Faculty uses the classrooms and computer laboratory housed in the Administrative building. The facilities are shared with the other faculties namely Faculty of Humanities and Social sciences, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Public Health. In addition the Faculty has the following assets.
– Cabin Mock-up room for Airline business students
– Hotel mock-up room and reception
– Air Traffic Control simulation room: Radar/non-radar, tower control
– Flight simulator for Aeronautics students
– Amadeus ticket selling platform (cloud-based program) for training of Airline business students
– Front desk and Tour studio programs for Tourism and Hotel students
a5 Regulatory requirements
All the programs that the Faculty offers are subject to an approval by the Committee of Higher Education standard under the Ministry of Higher Education. They must comply with the Higher Education Standard of the program which comprises two standards as follows.
a) Qualification framework standard 2565
– The program should derive Program learning outcomes (PLO) based on the needs of the stakeholders and they should comply with the standard learning outcomes for the qualification level (Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree).
– The PLOs must be taught and the student achievement assessed regularly throughout the curriculum. The evidence of student achievement per PLOs must be reported at the end of the program cycle, e.g. 4 years for Bachelor’s degree and 2 years for Master’s degree. This may be subject to the site visit by the appointed officials of the Committee of Higher Education standard under the Ministry of Higher Education.

Each of the faculty members must publish research or academic article/s in a recognized journal (TCI2, TCI1 or SCOPUS) in the last 5 years. At least 1 article for Bachelor’s degree program and 3 articles for the Master’s and Doctoral program.
The program committee must have at least 5 full time faculty members per program or 3 per major if the program has 2 or more majors. The faculty who serves as the program committee must have qualifications directly related or relevant to the program.
b1 Organizational structure
The Faculty of Business has 6 degree programs listed in a1, and 3 departments (Tourism and Hotel – TH, International business – IB, Logistics – LG). The administration committee of the Faculty consists of Dean as the leader, 3 heads of department, 6 program directors and the teaching faculty members.
b2 Students, Other Customers, and Stakeholders
In terms of education, the students are customers while the alumni, graduates’ employers and the Committee of Higher Education Standard (กมอ.) under the Office of the MHESI ministry (สปอว.) are stakeholders.
In terms of research, the customers are research sponsors or the University’s research committee and the users of research findings.

The Faculty is relatively competitive in terms of graduate employability due to the small number of students and graduates in the programs. However, in terms of the market share, the Faculty is not competitive and may be in the low 10% of business programs.
