8.1 The pass rate, dropout rate, and average time to graduate are shown to be established, monitored, and benchmarked for improvement.

Operational Result

The program recognizes the importance of monitoring student academic progress and completion rates as key indicators of educational quality and effectiveness. To ensure continuous improvement, the pass rate, dropout rate, and average time to graduate are systematically established, monitored, analyzed, and benchmarked against institutional goals and relevant standards. These indicators provide valuable information regarding student performance, retention, and overall program effectiveness.

Through regular data collection and evaluation, the program is able to identify trends, address challenges, and implement appropriate interventions to support student success and timely graduation. The results of these monitoring processes are also utilized in planning and decision-making to further enhance the quality of teaching, learning, academic support services, and student development initiative

Student Monitoring and Graduation Success

The Bachelor of Education in English program employs a proactive student support strategy as part of the faculty’s “No Ed Student Left Behind” initiative, aimed at ensuring all students graduate within the expected timeframe. Key performance indicators such as pass rate, dropout rate, and average time to graduation are systematically tracked, evaluated, and benchmarked for ongoing improvement.

Monitoring System

Each student is closely monitored by a dedicated academic advisor who provides personalized guidance and timely interventions to keep them on track. This includes regular meetings, academic counseling, and the development of customized study plans. In addition, every student maintains an E-portfolio, which is accessible to both their advisor and the Dean of the Faculty.

Students Monitoring Portal: An online system designed to support the monitoring and tracking of students’ academic performance, attendance, behavior, and overall progress. It enables advisers, faculty members, and administrators to efficiently monitor student development, provide timely interventions, and strengthen communication and support services to promote student success and well-being

Enrollment and Drop out

The enrollment and dropout data from 2021 to 2025 indicate a generally positive student retention trend within the program. Enrollment gradually increased from 4 students in 2021 to 11 students in 2024, reflecting growing student interest and the faculty’s continuous efforts to strengthen program quality and student support services. Although enrollment slightly decreased to 8 students in 2025, the overall enrollment pattern remains stable and encouraging. The COVID-19 pandemic greatly affected enrollment during the earlier years, as many students faced financial, personal, and mobility challenges. However, through the continuous efforts of the faculty, administrators, and staff in strengthening academic support, student services, and program promotion, the program was able to gradually improve its enrollment performance.

In terms of student retention, the program maintained an excellent record with zero dropouts from 2021 to 2023 and again in 2025. Only one dropout case was recorded in 2024, indicating that the faculty has been effective in supporting students academically and personally. The low dropout rate reflects the effectiveness of the faculty’s advising system, student monitoring initiatives, and supportive learning environment that help students remain engaged and continue their studies successfully

Calculation:
1. (Number of Bachelor Graduates who are employed or self-employed within 1 year*100 )/ Total number of Graduate Survey

Respondents Total no. Graduates = 4

No. of Graduates who responded = 4 ( 100%)
Graduates Employed & Self-employed= 4
4×100/ 4= 100%

2. Percentage of Bachelor Graduates who are employed or self-employed within 1 year*4/100
= (100*4)/100= 4
